Health & Safety

To support the wellbeing of our community, Pacific Ridge has made many adaptations to campus. These include planning for social distancing, cleaning and disinfecting, self-screening, hygiene, face coverings, illness at school, visitors, social-emotional care, and more. In all situations, the school will follow city, county, state, and federal guidelines.

Models & Schedule

We have developed a flexible and scalable schedule that can accommodate students on campus, in remote learning, and in a hybrid of the two, depending on pandemic conditions over time. Our goal is to provide students with a high quality, student-centered learning experience throughout the year.

Facilities & Technology

We are reducing the number of students in each classroom and utilizing spaces across campus to allow for social distancing. MERV-13 filters will reduce potential airborne virus particles in rooms. Technology will be provided for students who must be off campus so they can participate synchronously in their classes.

Curricular Program

Teachers will work in grade-level and academic teams to ensure curricular goals are met. Faculty will receive ongoing professional development regarding models of instruction for hybrid and online learning. Co-curricular programming may be modified, but will continue as allowed by public health directives and circumstances throughout the year.

Look Inside

We ask all families to support Pacific Ridge’s health, wellness, and safety protocols. We are all in this together, and with mutual cooperation and support, we can ensure that our students have a safe, productive and positive school year.

Guiding Principles

Pacific Ridge is committed to delivering our mission through an educational experience based in on-campus programming, while providing flexibility to address emerging health trends as well as the needs of those who are unable to be on campus due to their own significant health risks or those of family members. By working together, we will continue to provide an excellent education while supporting the health and safety of our community members.

  • Health and safety must always be at the forefront of our decision-making.
  • Our planning must reflect the mission of Pacific Ridge School.
  • In-person education is the preference of our school community.
  • Health and hygiene policies must be research-based and reflect the most recent city, county, and state guidelines.
  • We must be able to pivot throughout the school year, as the reality of Covid-19 is likely to change.
  • Our decisions and practices must reflect equity across our community as best as possible
